Donations to IFS for Your Adoption

We Welcome Donations – International Family Services has been granted 501(c)(3) non-profit status by the IRS. As such, IFS is able to accept donations and issue tax receipts. We welcome donations that will aid us in our mission to ease the suffering of the world’s orphans. One of the greatest humanitarian gestures a person can make is to help a family pay for an adoption. Unfortunately, the IRS does not allow taxpayers to deduct donations designated for payment of services rendered to a specific person (like paying for a child’s education).

IFS cannot accept donations which are designated for specific adoptions

We believe this is necessary in order to preserve our 501(c)(3) status. Payments can be made on behalf of a family, but IFS will not issue donation receipts for such payments. Contact IFS for more information.

Preferential Treatment

It is the policy of International Family Services that IFS shall not give preferential treatment to its board members, contributors, volunteers, employees, agents, consultants, or independent contractors with respect to the placement of children for adoption. – Ref: 22CFR96.39(c)
