Where Do You Go From Here?

If you decide that IFS can help you find a child to love as your own, begin the adoption process with us by following these steps.

Step One

Complete the on-line form at the bottom of this page to request that a complete Information Guide be sent to you immediately.

In the packet you receive, you will find the following:

- Program Descriptions and Costs

- IFS Application

- IFS Contract and Services Agreement

Read these over carefully. They describe in detail any risks that may be inherent when adopting internationally and a complete description of the exact services.

Step Two

Review the program descriptions. The current costs, documents, and procedures are listed for each foreign program.

Step Three

When you decide to move forward, complete the IFS Application and the IFS Adoption Services Agreement and Contract. Once these documents are received at IFS, a file is opened for you and an experienced IFS adoption consultant will begin helping you through the labyrinth of paperwork you will need to complete.

The referral and adoption process for a child varies by country (both in procedure and length of time) but is done with your input and desires in mind. Your IFS adoption consultant will be with you every step of the way to monitor the legal process required by your child's home country.

Adoption can be one of the most exciting events in the life of a family. It can also be emotionally challenging. The adoption process is not for the faint of heart, but the information you will receive from International Family Services will help you develop the "can do" attitude that will make your adoption an exciting, successful journey.
